Privacy policy

The short version. HelloMacro has no accounts. Your food diary, weight, goals, preferences and coach conversations are stored on your iPhone. When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that feature is sent to HelloMacro's server and on to Anthropic to produce the answer. Nothing is sold, nothing is used for advertising, and there is no analytics or tracking.

What stays on your phone

Your profile (sex, age, height, weight), targets, every logged meal and its photo, weight entries, exercise and water, food preferences and allergies, what HelloMacro has learned about your foods, coach memories and chat history. They are stored in the app's private container, included in your iPhone backups, and removable at any time with Settings → Delete all data. You can export a copy as JSON or CSV from Settings.

What leaves your phone, and when

These requests go to HelloMacro's server (Google Cloud, us-central1), which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API and streams the answer back. The server keeps a random installation identifier and daily and monthly request counts to apply HelloMacro Plus's fair-use limits; it stores no diary content, no photos and no identity. Anthropic processes the request under its API terms and does not train on API data.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. HelloMacro sends your signed App Store transaction to its server only to confirm HelloMacro Plus; the server does not receive your Apple ID or payment details.

Permissions

Camera (to photograph meals), microphone and speech recognition (to say what you ate, processed on device by Apple), Health (write only, optional), notifications (meal reminders, optional).

Children

HelloMacro is not intended for children under 16.
